Internal Medicine:
for the Pets of Katy & West Houston TX

Veterinary internal medicine deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and illnesses that can affect the internal organs. The veterinarians of All Pets Animal Hospital & 24-Hour Emergency Care are able to handle most internal medicine cases due to our 24-hour care and in-house lab, as well as our intensive care unit.

The swelling of the pancreas can vary from mild to severe in nature. Pancreatitis differs in dogs and cats, with dog symptoms typically including vomiting and severe abdominal pain. In cats, lethargy, loss of appetite and dehydration are more common symptoms.
  • Kidney disease
The kidneys are responsible for the removal of waste from your pet’s body. Symptoms of kidney disease can include:
    • Excessive drinking and urination
    • Lethargy
    • Vomiting

Diabetes in pets is caused by the inability of the body to use insulin properly. It affects blood sugar levels and can result in additional health complications.
